2022 Gigantic Jr.

We are halfway done with the season! Participants were battling to post some great scores at the Gigantic Jr. at Bunker Hill Golf Course!

In the boys 16-17 division we had a tie for first place between Charlie Becker and Nate Obbink, both shot a 73. Becker won the playoff hole to take first overall. “All around I think I did pretty good, my driver going straight helped, and with my putting I didn’t have many three putts.” Obbink finished second and Will Coohey took third with a 77.

In the girls 16-17 division Celia Turner won with an 82. “I was trying to stay positive and after I hit a bad shot, just focus on the next shot.” Emma Hogan finished second with a 100 and Olivia Duschen took third place with a 101.

Bock Mueller won the boys 14-15 division with a 73. “My mindset was to stay steady. I was focused on getting pars over birdies because the birdies will come eventually.” Jonah Oberfoell took second with a 78 and Brayden Webber shot a 79 for third place.

In the girls 14-15 division Natalie Fangmann shot an 88 to take first place. “My driver started off a little shaky at the beginning, but I started to hit it well on the back. I was really focused on moving on from bad shots and holes and always focused on what was next.” Sarah Winter took second place with a 116.

In the boys 12-13 Reid Herrig took the win shooting a 38. “I birdied hole one, so I was just trying to keep going and stay calm for the rest of the round.” Cooper Smith shot a 43 for second place and Brooks Reed shot a 44 to finish third.

Josie Bierman shot a 48 to take first place in the girls 12-13 division. “My putting was pretty good today. I had a lot of ups and downs throughout the round but tried to stay positive and have fun.” Addie Splinter finished in second place with a 51

For the boys 10-11 division Michael Hamilton won with a 41. “My second shots and chipping were good because I would put my second shots close to the green, then put my chips close to the hole.” Beau Reed finished in second with a 53.
