2023 Managed Solutions Jr. Classic

The participants put some solid rounds out there at Timberline Golf Course. We started the day off with a few sprinkles and jackets, but traded it for sunshine towards the end.

Timberline can get a bit tricky. A lot of the players expressed that keeping your tee shots safe and focusing on your short game is the key to success.

For the boys 16-17 age division Camden Flack took first place with a 76. “My driver was a little off early in the round, so I started trying to keep my drives in the fairway and swing easy.” Quinn McGeough finished in second place with an 84 and Joe Winter took third with an 87.

Evelyn Deutsch won the girls 16-17 age division with a score of 109. “The group of girls I played with were really motivating and super nice.”

In the boys 14-15 age division Ben Thill won with an 82. “I struggled a little with my short game, so I just drove a couple greens to make it easier.” Cole Herbst finished close behind with an 83 and Nate Walker took third place with a 111.

We had a head to head battle between Brooklyn Bussan and Sarah Winter for first place in the girls 14-15 age division. Bussan shot a 100 to win the division. “Talking to each other and not being too competitive was the best part of the round.” Winter was close behind with a final score of 101.

For the boys 12-13 age division Cooper Smith finished in first place with a 45. “My chipping and putting helped me a lot. I would chip it close to the hole and then tap it in.” Alex Tanny shot a 51 for second and Andreas Skrocki shot a 54 to finish in third.

In the girls 12-13 age division Addie Splinter won with a 46. “I was struggling a little bit off the tee but I used my irons to get me close to the green.” Landry Rauen took second place with a 56 and Lucy Davis shot 63 for third place.

For the boys 10-11 age division Michael Hamilton took first place with a score of 41. “I kept chipping it close, which made a lot of my putts easier.” Beau Reed finished in second place with a 43 and Kaleb Elsbury shot a 48 to finish in third.

Finley Rauen took home first place in the girls 10-11 age division with a 63. “The best part was that I had a lot of good chips.”

The mini tour had six participants. Owen Davis took first place with a 38 and close behind was Michael Kelly who finished in second place with a 39. Paxton Hamel shot a 43, Jackson Heiar shot a 45, Colton Weber shot a 53, and Regan Edwards shot a 56.
